Mike (BigMo) and I fished a couple of places this weekend and he netted my personal best 42. The fish was only held up quickly to a sticker in the boat to get a measurement. I think It could have been a little bigger. We caught six fish total, the 42 and 38 pictured and 4 non legals. The 42 took a black/orange marabou and the 38 nailed a topwater.

We had a very interesting trip (as we always seem to have) We got their late, the bulb on my gas tank had a hole in it, (For some reason neither of us had tape in the box which might have worked for a quick fix so no motor for the weekend) we slept in the car (Who the hell knows why? We wanted to get an early start and didn't want to mess with the tent......will never happen again) left my keys in mikes car (we had to hitch a ride from some old folks....very nice) my truck ran out of gas, my trailer lights got screwed up somehow, (had to drive home with one working) and to top it all off...............we were extremely late for family obligations which puts us in the doghouse bigtime! (Well I really didn't have to be home at a certain time only Mike.....LOL! Sorry buddy! I'm glad it's him not me!)

Other than that we had a great time. Saw fish, caught fish, released fish and had a blast. That's what good friends are for!

Mike's a great stick and knows musky fishing but can't take a picture worth a lick the other two pics have half my head and half the fish.

Thanks again for the memories Mike, look forward to doing it again! We will not sleep in the car next time.

Good luck next week!

Steve

BigMo is a good guy, was he throwing my pig topwater, his new favorite bait?

Way to go, Big Mo, can't wait to see you on the water again sometime, maybe up by the Hideout later this year?

we'll see after tonight, if his boat puts a fish in it then he is the MOJO! ..... i think we're on Pelican next week, never been there and a bit intimidated by it as i don't know squat about it. deep water near feeding areas around break lines ..... i'm just going to keep saying that over and over and over and over again!

All of that for a stupid fish! It really goes to show you who is smarter, the muskie or us??? Nice fish and we've all been there on fishing trips. A bad day fishing is always better than a good day working.

For tonight, I will trade my partner Andy, who by the way was last years Top Gun, for Big Mo. If that isn't enough I will throw in my favorite Top Raider.

Norm Needs some mojo!!!!!!!!!!

(if anybody tells Andy about this trade offer I will deny it)
