Posts: 32944 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | How did the Muskies treat you this weekend? No fishing for Sue and I, too much work preparing for the GOON trip in a week. Can't wait!!!

Posts: 578 Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | Never saw a musky, then again, I was not musky fishing. Like I said in the "Weekend desination, Post yours" post, a limit of trout and salmon WAS brought home. Saturday I left the dock at 4am, had lines set by 4:30am and heading back to the dock before 7am with a 10 fish limit that weighed in at over 70lbs. Felt good to have a fish rip out over 175 YARDS of line in a single run. Also was a sight to see the rainbows jumping behind those boards. This was the big sign to myself as to WHY I miss fishing Lake Michigan so blasted much. Looking at buying a cottage ON the water. When I say "ON the water" I litterally mean ON the water. A 28'-32' rig that sleeps at least 6 is in my sights. Anyone want to buy a whole bunch of musky baits? All proceeds are going towards the "cottage". LOL Back to musky on Tuesday night for league. Posts: 44 Location: ashland wi | I caught nothing, but my son Nick caught his first ever,a 46 1/2 incher right off the kids fishing pier,he caught it on a figure eight on his 2nd cast and held in the water on the beach till my other son Kevin could run up and get me,so i unhooked it and released it for him, memories of a lifetime. I just bought him his first musky rod a week ago and it's the second time he used it,guess he got her broke in now. Came in from our week long camping trip to do laundry and show off pic's of his fish. Sure made Dad proud!! Posts: 20266 Location: oswego, il | Got back from a week from vermillion. Did not chase muskies as much as I would have liked, our rental boat was a 16ft lund with a 15hp motor and would not plane with 2 adults and 2 kids. We fished rice bay a ton and my kids just had too much fun catching pike to keep them from that action.

Posts: 2112 Location: The Sportsman, home, or out on the water | Stayed up on Lost land this weekend. fishing was rather slow. Popped a 30" on Ghost, and then a 39" on Barker, over by winter. Lori caught our dog, and after snipping 3 trebles out of Cleo's nose, lip, and leg, she was also released to fight another day.
