Anybody know the results for the Metro tournament.

We fished Waconia had one 43/44 incher on at about 11, but it got shook the hooks. Caught a few 6lb bass and a nice northern, but that was about it.

I think a 49" from Forest won it. My buddy said a couple of mid 40's followed from White Bear with the rest all from Forest and squeaking over the 40" limit.
I know that Indy was a total bust; we had 5 follows and not a strike from any species. No legals were caught from Indy, Waconia, Bald Eagle, or Eagle. Tough day on the water for nearly everyone.

Duff won the event for the 2nd straight year. He got that fish on a Trueglide Studfinder.

Indy sucked (Sunday too) because they dumped in the weed killer. We had our Capable Partners event on Sunday out there and only got 1 fish. Somebody that lives on that lake needs to step up and get them to stop them from putting those chemicals in the lake. It'll be pea soup in another week now...

Fished Waconia and saw 9 fish, 6 follows, 0 hits. My partner caught a nice pike, and I had another take a swipe at the bait at the boat. Exciting seeing all the fish, but no takers. Only fish we heard caught was a 30".

fished eagle lake, saw three fish that would have registered and one that would have been a high 40" fish, lots of follows, none were takers. rough time on eagle.

Fished Bald Eagle. Cant believe how slow. I almost went to Waconia but I quess it didnt matter. When I saw the weather I thought it was going to be so much better than last year. Overcast, slight wind, light rain. Boy, was I mistaken. I thought it was going to be a top water slaughter. Moved 10 fish and caught a couple pike. No skies. Very frustrated until I read how poor everyone else did. It just pisses me off when you see so many fish but cant make them bite. You read so many articles about how to trigger fish. I mean lets be realistic. The pros say if you raise a fish you should leave it alone and come back later. Yeah right!!! by 3 hours on most metro lakes that fish is going to see 10 lures bye the time you come back. Its my opinion that a lot of that is just B.S. to fill pages- Unless your in Canada. Sometimes the skies are just not going to bite. No matter what trigger methods you use, speed up, slow down, twitching, throw back lures, figure eight. And that's what makes the sport so fun and challenging. If you caught every ski you raised, every Tom, Dick, and Harry would be Musky fishing instead of Dock clanking for Bass. Just my 2 cents. Ill get off my soap box now Good luck to everyone the rest of the year!! And congradulations to the guys and gals who actually caught fish on Sat.

The same guy won it this year. Absolutely amazing, the lucky horeshoe must have gotten wedged up there pretty good. I haven't even heard on anyone making a return trip to the top 5 the 5 years I have been fishing the event.
