Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | How'd you do out on the Muskie waters of the US this weekend? Slamr, Nikki, and I went out on Webster for a few hours today( I wasn't fishing, just waiting for a fish to hit for the cameras), moved about a dozen but no takers. I had a great time and was introduced to a n new fishery. Posts: 425 Location: Elkhart, IN | My son caught two today. Didn't get a measurement on the first one, but the second we did and it was 28". The first one was real close to that size also. Not real big but it sure got him excited since they were his second and third muskies so far. BTW, they were on Webster also and I remember seeing that boat today. Here's the pictures, not bad for an 8 year old working a big lure like the Weagle. He says "WEAGLE BABY WEAGLE" http://pages.infinit.net/fishing/nick20.jpg http://pages.infinit.net/fishing/nick21.jpg

Posts: 1269 Location: Stevens Point, Wi. | Had a great Sat. A.M. on Pelican with an old friend. For some strange reason, an old stand-by lure has gone unused for the past 4 or 5 years. I guess I got caught up in buying and trying out the hyped "hot" new lures over the past few years. Saturday I took a few old boys for a ride in the boat. Fished from 630 to noon and only wet one lure., an old, scarred Wades Wobbler. Netted a 38 and a 41 and had another one on for 2 quick head shakes before becoming unzipped. I know I won't forget my old friends any time soon.

Posts: 1430 Location: Eastern Ontario | It was the Eastern Ontario opener for everything but the Ottawa and St-Lawrence rivers. I got out with my son for 5 hours yesterday and to my surprise we got 2 big ones. The first fish of the year was a fat 52 x 24 inch pig and then my son reeled in a 49 x 22 inch beauty. The pictures of the big girl aren't the best but I assumed my son could take pictures with my new camera and it's 2.5 inch LCD display. He got the picture so right on the second fish I had to hide the background. LOL Enjoy Attachments ---------------- 06-04-2005Rich52x24aZz.jpg (74KB - 109 downloads) 06-04-2005Rich52x24Zz.jpg (70KB - 111 downloads) 06-04-2005Rich49x22B.jpg (54KB - 116 downloads)

Location: Des Moines IA | I got out on Shabbona with a couple of newbies this weekend . Got this one Friday night about 7:30. Forgot to measure it though. Thanks for handing me that lure at BPS Slamr. First time out with it, I catch a fish. Then I lose it trolling in the timber. Just my luck. Oh well I guess it's another trip to BPS. BlummingFlower...I see that your post says your from fonda, IA. I didn't know there were anyother fellow muskie anglers around this area. I'm from newell and my dad I do a lot of muskie fishing up on the IGL. Glad to see know there are more muskie anglers around than I thought, but maybe we will see you on the water some time.

Posts: 100 Location: Blaine, MN 55449 | Fished the WMT, was one of the hardest weekends of fishing that I have in a long time! There were no big pigs taken??? Only small fish! The lakes were Butternut and the Phillips Chain. Cool, warm, and rain!!! All in all learned a new set of spots to try for next year. Bucktail Hopefully the MN Tourney this weekend will produce some fatties!!! Last year, Paul Hartmans Tourney produced some of the biggest fish in any Touranment in the US!!! Can't wait!!!

Posts: 1430 Location: Eastern Ontario | sorenson - 6/5/2005 7:58 PM D'oh! I hate posting after Richard! Nice fish; also nice fish for your son Rockin'! K. Hey Ken I am jealous, I would trade you a 50+ anyday for a fat 40 inch tiger like that, that fish is georgeous. We only have naturals here and they are super rare, out of well over 1000 fish so far I think I may of caught one tiger. BTW my son is so #*^@ lucky I would not hesitate taking him with me to fish tournaments, his average size muskie so far is well over 45 and maybe even closer to 47. I think he's caught but a couple of fish under 40 but a bunch over 45.
