What is your favorite resort to stay at while on a fishing trip and why?

North Twin Lodge, on North Twin Lake in Vilas County, Wisconsin.
It is on a great lake , 3400+ acres, which is big enough to fish for a week and not get bored. It has a wide variety of structure types, a very good fishery, plus the "up-north" look and feel to it.
The resort has the best boat slips of anywhere that I have ever been, which are protected from most all predominant wind directions.
The buidings are very neat and clean with new appliances and private decks.
Most importantly, the resort owners, Tom and Kay Hickson are
wonderful people and great hosts. Their numbers are:715-545-3474, with e-mail [email protected]

Indian point Camp on Wabagoon. One of the cleanest camps I have ever stayed in. This is a drive-in camp and that itself is very nice. You can bring in many comforts from home so your trip is fun. Clean cabins, mirowave, stove an fridge.

They have a very clean fish cleaning shack and that is very important at 10pm when cleaning walleyes for dinner. Plenty of dock space the power to charge batterys.

Great service...We had some troubles when Worrall and myself got into camp and we did not get to fish the last hour before dark to get meal of walleyes for supper. Shannon (the camp owner) knew this and came to our cabin with a bowl of fresh walleye fillets for us.

Now that is service.[]

My vote is for Riverside lodge on Pigeon lake. The fishing on pigeon is some of the best for numbers and some decent size fish in there as well. As for the lodge well from the covered docks to cable tv and air conditioning but I think the real reason it might be that she always gives me cottage #1 and saves me a spot in the boathouse. [:sun:]

P.S. I did send her my first clients for this year to have some practice on Pigeon before coming to fish for the big girls with me.

I have a soft spot for Kimberly's Eagle West resort on eagle lake, because it's where I went every year as a kid. Back o Beyond on Teal is nice and the people are great too.

Indian Point Camp, on Wabigoon Lake in Ontario. Shannon is a gracious hostess, and runs a very well organized camp on some of the best Muskie and Walleye water in the world.

The best resort on the planet is Bubba Sirota's "DEPOT" in Sugar Camp. Bar None!

I have to break it down by Country- When in Canada Andy Myers Lodge on Eagle Lake-Steve Herbeck will work harder for His guests than anyone in the business. An absolute hard core pro that lays it all on the line for every person that loves fishing.Great atmosphere and Hospitality. In Wisconsin Try Skyview Lodge In Presque Isle. The absolute best place for a Muskie nut to stay. The young staff are all knowlegable ,friendly and know the area well. The dining is superb and reasonable and you just feel good about being in the place.
