Four fish were caught - biggest at 38 or 38.5".

Hey MSKY HNR,

You have email. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. It's explained in the email. Let me know if you receive it OK, 'cuz I've been having lots of problems with my new email service.

Just back from awards at Christy's Launching on Waubesa Two team doubled up. Big fish was a 39 1/2 (39 something). Some thing like 14 fish caught total. Many fish were seen. I heard small hair worked the best. One CC MI member team of Oberfoell/Clark got a 37, but did not finish in the money.

Talked to Tom McInnis and he said the judge boat thing went real well.

I fished both tournaments. Saturday on Monona was tough, we only moved two fish. 36 teams only 4 fish caught, a 38.5 won it.
Monona is not going to turn on for a couple more weeks, not a good time to have a tourny on this lake.

Waubesa had 13 fish caught (42 teams), with two teams doubling. 39.5 was the largest caught. We moved 12 fish on Sunday, my partner lost a big fish 5 minutes into it. A few of the followers were 42-45" fish. Had a couple 40 inch class fish come out of the water after an Eddie bait and a jackpot. My partner caught a 35.5 Northern that ended up winning us a G Loomis rod and a Corsair reel. We had a blast on Sunday even though we got skunked

Tom runs a nice tournament a good time was had by all.

Saturday's fishing conditions weren't tough, they were brutal!! Cold front with high winds made for some very rough fishing. The tournament anglers who I talked to that prefished Lake Monona on Friday reported that there were two teams to score on 45 inch muskies and one team had landed a 47 incher on Friday. If the contions would have not changed so dramatically on Saturday from the previous day, I think there would have been as many or more muskies registered on Monona as there was on Waubesa. But that is fishing in general and you can't predict the weather and bad weather can happen any time during the season.

No time to be on a lake is bad. I have to admit I had my time with depression trying to figure what these fish wanted to eat. Never did.

All I know is it was a great time to be fishing this tournament again.

The Mad chain is a great body of water and getting better each year.

Maybe a good place to hold the finals some year?

Excellent point Rick, September fishing in Madison is excellent. The PMTT had a record number of fish caught, I do believe 68, when they were in Madison in September. In May you see a lot of nice fish on the chain, but in September you can catch a lot of nice fish.

Great job Kevin and Abe.

Billy and I saw you leaving the lake after your second fish.

Was the bar open that early?

JUst to let folks know that there is two spots open for Pewaukee this Saturday, May 21 and there are still some spots open for Lake Okauchee, May 22.
