| Anyone have recommendations on where I can get optima batteries cheapest? My cranking battery chose to bomb out on me yesterday. Made for fun trying to load up with the kicker motor that chose not to move into forward a few times during the process (another headache on the horizon). Luckily the good folks at the ramp didn't give me much grief.
Anyway, I'm off the subject of my post - i need a new cranking / deepcycle battery and I'd like to get the D31M or D34M. Any recommendations on where I can save some $$$'s on them? |

Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | I would highly suggest saving your money, and getting a Black Max Everstart battery at Wal-Mart. I believe they are like 1100 cranking amps, with over 900 cold cranking amps.
I put these in my truck and boats. By far the best cranking battery I have ever owned.
Plus they are Wal-Mart, so they are cheap.
I promise you won't go wrong with these batteries. |

Location: Athens, Ohio | When I was shopping for crank batteries, Advanced Auto had the Optimas the cheapest. I ended up with an Interstate, so far it works real good and I didn't have to deal with Wal-Mart. m |

Optima has a deepcycle/crank combo. Since my bow sonar is run off the cranking batter along with several other accessories I was thinking it would be better than cycling a pure cranking battery.
Maybe I'm wrong. |
