Posts: 1185 Location: Iowa | Well being as how I have only caught 4 muskies in my life...all on different lures...a tiger tude, a spinnerbait, a jp-6 crankbait, and a topraider...that pretty much covers all of the spectrum except for jerkbaits...I have seen the majority of my fish on jerkbaits...hybrid jerkbaits though...like squirelly burts, squirkos etc...love that squirko...awesome erratic action and easy to use...wish they made a baby one though... Posts: 4266 | Strictly percentage of strike to hook up ratio...a jig without a doubt. When they thump it, it's in their mouth. Set the hook and you are good to go. Single hook, good penetration, not one hook fighting another and no weight to help them throw it. Second, a bucktail as stated earlier. Don't lose many fish on a bucktail. Again one treble hook or a single hook that is easy to set because there really isn't anything for a ski to sink his teeth into. Beav

Posts: 1996 Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | #1 Mepps Musky Killer is my go to, hook 'em up bait. #2 Top Raider. It wasn't always a high percentage bait, but has only been beaten by Bucktails over the last two years.
