I second the Cove great people there too, Chuck and Peg will take care of you. Make sure you go to Jimmys and have a Steak when you are there (best place to eat in town)

PS Great guide for the lake Mike Hulbert www.mikehulbert.com (if you need one)

I third the cove but I'd spend five minutes on the road heading north on 13 towards Syracuse and get some real chow at the Sleepy Owl supper club. The food establishments in Webster are barely a step above dog food!

Try the Owl and had a Rib-Eye steak there that was horrible! I mean it was bad. Went there because Jimmy's is closed on Mondays. I have not been back since. I will give it a try next time I am up. Always give them a second chance. Jimmy's dog food, well I should start eating more dog food.

well the cottages are good . but there is alot of houses around the area that rent out for a week or month. and with 4 families that would be best. if they all want to be together. also my family rin a campground on the barbee chain pic- a -spot. not far from webster and we have lake side camping right on the chain. cabins too. but they each hold up too 6 people. and as for the guest dog chow comment. you have got to be crazy most of the joints do make decent food. and we have a bunch of places that make awsome pizza like jimmy's and the barbee landing and lighthouse cafee(new one little but good) and if you want awsome food u need to try the barbeehotel the best food in the area but bring the pocket book and i highly sugest that bob try that place the prime rib is to die for. big parking lot for boats and trucks too. ....bill

Barbee Landing=good food
Barbee Hotel=Good food
Jimmy's=good food
Lighthouse cafe(Ye Olde Tackle parking lot) has great pizza, tell Chet that Kevin sent you... He just bought the place, it opens at 4am I think and closes at 9pm everyday except friday and saturday. Pizza delivery within ten miles, so all Webster, Tippy and Barbee area and almost to syracuse.

As for Cottages, Fisherman's cove is a great place, stayed there many times before I bought my cottage. For Hotels the Lodge and Dixie Haven. Stayed at Dixie Haven many times also.
Drive around the lakes area, look for signs.. There are still places for rent like Bill mentions, there are a couple on the Barbee chain by the Barbee Hotel in addition to the cabins at pic-a-spot. Epworth Forest used to have a decent amount of rental cottages, not sure if they still do. Used to be a few somewhere along the east shoreline of webster....
