Please help an idiot. I don't know if I have a problem or not, so I need some expert advice. When my x17 reads info off the Hotmaps Premium chip, by screen's brightness and contrast get AFU and its really hard to see any detail. I have tried to adjust the brightness and contrast and cannot get it adjusted to my liking-its too washed out. Is this common or am I an idiot that needs to learn about my electronics?
Also, can someone who has the North edition take a look at the Eagle Lake, Ontario map for me. I was at Cabela's last night and had the guy demonstrate the chip for me. I NEED a good map for eagle and what he showed me was horrible. I don't think he had the right region selected, but I was in a hurry and couldn't troubleshoot myself. Just want to be sure it's what I need before I drop another $200 on a chip.

Thanks,
Howard
