| Any of you folks been using these like bulldawgs or otherwise.
I am going to try them on the back of a spinnerbait as the sole dressing...no hair.
Anyone have any experience with this?
The Big'N is a huge (10") plastic grub. |

Haven't fished them much because I'm more partial to Bulldawgs.

Location: Kentucky | I've been making in-line spinners out of them, sort of a giant Slowie or bucktail. I'll try to post some pics of the Jumbo WeaverTail 
Buddy of mine caught a 42" and a 48" on it pre-fishing Vermillion. I've not been so lucky yet!

Location: oswego, il | I have made spinners using the big berkely grub, not quite as big but pretty colse. It takes a big hook, I use a 7/0 for that one. I have another one that is even longer and I call that one bulldawg on a stick. |

Location: Kentucky | I can't beleive Sputterbug let the cat out of the bag!! That lure he makes rocks! I caught a 42" & 48" within minutes of each other within 100 yds of each other on the big V. Too bad it was 4 days b4 the tourney!!! The good thing about that lure is how well it casts in strong winds! Like a rocket! Has a big profile and that tail drive's 'em CRAZY!!! We call it the "KNOB GOBBLER". Big Ladies just love to swallow it!!!

So do you guys throw it with a jig attached, or just a hook? I've been tossing mine with one of those big ass jig heads that R+H sells, but something that sinks slower might be nice. Hmmmm. I've got hooks from my sluggos that would probably fit the bill. The thing is sure heavy enough w/o the jig to pitch on its own.

Location: Kentucky | Thanks for the compliments, Mav! I finally remembered to attach some pics of the (politically correct) Jumbo WeaverTail, alias Knob Gobbler.
I'm still experimenting with them, but like to make them to run as shallow as possible. On a fast retrieve the big tail will break the surface. Looks cool but I've not been lucky enough to see what the fish like. The buzzbait version is not real noisy... might have to use some different blades. |

| I been using them on a 3oz. jighead with a stinger attached, dont forget to superglue the grub. Sweet on coldwater fish! |

| Heres how I rig em, I dont know about a Dawg substitute but a great lure in its own right.
I cut a cresent moon shape out of the widest part of the tail and weld it to the end, awesome action.
