Posts: 639 Location: Bloomington, MN | "Never"...and I repeat "Never!" leave a trailer hitch drawbar in the receiver throughout the winter when it is attached with a one of those push button deadbolt lock pins!! I spent most of the evening with WD40, a BF hammar, a hack saw, and numerous Yuenglings to try to get it off. I was in the middle of a good 10 minute hack saw carbide blade dulling, turret syndrom blurting frenzy when I decided to try the goofy round key for a final time. The once rust encrusted, now glimmering simulated stainless steel lock (rust is now on my "dressy" work dockers) fell into my hand faster than change from a Belvidere toll booth employee. I decided I needed a new draw bar and ball to pick up the wooden Albatros from storage (Yes Steve..I know I should have bought a Tuffy instead) to be on the "safe" side. Sooo....if you see an ark being towed by a gold Chevy east bound on 94 toward the Twin $hitties this coming Saturday....run for your life! The good news for the day was that I received a double jointed lure that I "Won!" on Ebay that will hopefully put a Mille Lacs Tulibee eating fatty in the boat for me in 2005. Posts: 639 Location: Bloomington, MN | Mr. Golden, Please delete the two wild hair "Lesson Learned" posts. I unfortunately can have a few Yuenglings and can take off and land a 737-400 from MDW-ORD under IFR conditions on MS Flight Simulator, but I can't submit a post like a normal human on Muskie First. Have a great vacation, and please give us details of your fun. I just went to N. Carolina to visit a Bulldog, to give you an idea of what exciting life I lead. Posts: 1430 Location: Eastern Ontario | On my last truck I had the basic pin with a cotter pin to keep it in place. Well let me tell you that when I bought my new truck I ended up buying a new receptor as that other one was welded on there. LOL there is no way that it was going to be coming out of there after who knows how many years. I am now taking it off during the off season. | ||
