When will the plastic magic makers be available?? Does anyone know anywhere that has them yet? Stopped in at Thorne Bros on Saturday and they didn't have them yet.

Just wondering; are plastic MM's a good thing? I'm sure their durability will be improved, but what about the action that I've come to love? Will it be the same bait? Is it true that it will have rattles?

Thanks.

Try the web site www.thenextbite.com as there was a thread on the forum not too long ago and Pete Maina had some input on those MMs.

Just had a musky destroy my new pink Magic Maker Friday fishing with Archery Nut in Indiana. The musky hit the MM so hard it tore off the eye and left teeth marks, but didn't bite any hooks sad to say. I now call it my one eyed Pirate Magic Maker, ARRRRRRRRRRRR!

I like my old wood one, but the new plastic one also has great action and rattles to boot. I think this fish might have missed it though because it is hard plastic, I think if I had the wood one on I would have gotten some hooks set!

The plastic is perfect and strong, w/rattles, BUT I like my wood(wife too!) its just that everyone has its own mind! I might be old school, but the wood cracks me fish!

P.S- and yes, I got a new plastic one too!

I also am anxious to see how the plastic MM's will work. I do know that Mania/Drifter Tackle Co. is not going to halt production of the wooden Magic Makers after the plastic ones are produced. I was told this by the folks at Drifter Tackle when I was at the Milwuakee show. I have a number of customers that are die hard Magic Maker fans, and they did not want the plastic baits for their future orders. I am hoping to have blanks in my shop in the near future, and one of those that is coming has my name on it (LOL.)

Is it time to leave for the lake yet?

How fast do the new PLASTIC Magic Makers sink?

Debating whether to pick up some of the new Bagley B Flats or a new MM.

I'm a sucker for plastic so leaning towards the MM.....
