I second that question. I'd like to fish that lake myself... but have no familiarity whatsoever with the lake, structure, and patterns. Any input would be great. Thanks.

i fished moose 2 days last summer. Landed on nice 39" fish, saw MANY others. Its a great lake to fish. Deer Lake right across the road has excellent small mouth fishing too. We have a blast. I'll be there again in late august

we stay at moose lake resort. john and wendy are really nice people. the rates are reasonable and the cabins are clean. we go the 3rd week of aug. the big weed beds are marked with jugs. there are some good rockpiles also. the hot spot map will give you a good starting point. there are a few different kinds of weeds in the lake, but i would put most of my time in trying to find the cabbage patches. most of the fish we find are mid 30's to mid 40's, but there are some 50's in there also. the lake does get hit hard, mostly on the weekends. as far as baits go, i've caught them on bucktails, cranks, suicks, topwaters, well you get the idea................tom f

The public access at Moose Lake is pretty shallow, so keep that in mind, if you have a big boat with a bunk trailer, you will have a hard time.

There isn't enough water to float it off the trailer.

Some of the resorts have private access's, that may be better - but I don't know for sure.

Really clear lake, with lots of structure out there to choose from, the evening bite, right after dark can be prett good - expecially if it is a sunny day.

There is a rock/week/sand reef structure out in front of the public access which always holds a fish or two.
