Subject: Top water rod suggestions

I am looking to add a top water rod to my arsenal this year and I was curious as to what rods everyone on here is using.
Basically looking for rod length action and maybe a reason on why you chose that rod. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

A 7'6" MH or 8' works good for me.Throws some of the lighter lures better,But the most important thing is that you can steer the baits thru cover,Also you will want to move the bait side to side if you have a ski behind it.The longer rods will help with this.I throw tails and topwaters with the same rod alot.

Go with the longest rod that you are comfortable with. I would HIGHLY suggest at least a 7'6, but if you work an 8 footer, go with that.

Also, what type of lures will you be throwing?

For example, for the Weagle, Jackpot, Fatboy, etc... I would highly suggest a 7'6. If you are using Pacemakers, TopRaiders, LowRiders, etc... I would go with an 8 footer, medium heavy.

Like I said, I wouldn't go any shorter than 7'6.
