Location: West Bend, WI | A 7'6" MH or 8' works good for me.Throws some of the lighter lures better,But the most important thing is that you can steer the baits thru cover,Also you will want to move the bait side to side if you have a ski behind it.The longer rods will help with this.I throw tails and topwaters with the same rod alot. |

Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | Go with the longest rod that you are comfortable with. I would HIGHLY suggest at least a 7'6, but if you work an 8 footer, go with that.
Also, what type of lures will you be throwing?
For example, for the Weagle, Jackpot, Fatboy, etc... I would highly suggest a 7'6. If you are using Pacemakers, TopRaiders, LowRiders, etc... I would go with an 8 footer, medium heavy.
Like I said, I wouldn't go any shorter than 7'6. |
