| Which reels is wider or are they the same size? the frame I am speaking of, which would be easier to palm... thanks for the info....Ben |

Truthfully, each are very good reels. It's not like choosing between blondes, brunettes or redheads... Just stay away from 6500's, unless you don't mind paying lots of $$ for maintenance and repairs.

Both have what is called a recessed reel foot.The reel kinds fits over the blank, thus making it easier to palm.The Daiwa perhaps a bit more than a CT.Both quality reels.Although I fish Shimano, the CVZ is a fine piece of equipment.Better get 2! Steve |

| I have 2 cte 400 and recently bought a cvz300. It seems to be a bit wider than the cte and I don't want to buy another cte. So I thought I might return the diawa for a normal 400 if the 400 was smaller. If they are the same size I will keep it as I like the higher gear ratio...thanks for the help...Ben |
