Sounds like this show has an awesome line up. I am really looking forward to hearing these speakers and I'm going to spend the whole day there. Larry Ramsell has so many years of experience musky fishing, his fishing stories alone have to be awesome to listen to. I can't wait to hear about the 57" he caught in Canada. I am sure I will be able to learn a lot from him. And I have already learned quite a bit from Rich Reinert. I caught my heaviest fish, 24#, in a spot that I probably would not have normally fished, but because Rich had marked a map for us, we tried it, and boy, did it pay off! She was a beaut!!! He really knows his stuff. His knowledge sure has helped put quite a few fish in my boat. And family members have actually fished with Dave Dorazio, had a great time just being on the water and caught fish with him. He grew up fishing muskies, so you know he's got a ton of experience. This show is going to be so cool. I think if you miss this one, you're going to regret it.

Posts: 87 | Helped out with the set ups friday night as the vendors came in. I got to talk with Fig Rigs, Nimmer Swimmer, American Hardwoods, Cat Tails, Hawgseekers, John Dettloff, Rich Reinert and Larry Ramsell. There was about twenty people out by the pool for some demos with some new lures. It was a pretty good start for the show, I can't wait until we are open tomarrow and all of the vendors and speakers are here. Hope to see you at this show. Terry

Posts: 2112 Location: The Sportsman, home, or out on the water | First show for Muskynightmare, first show for God's Country as well. It was a learning experience. Sold some baits, but not as many as I had hoped to. Nobody sold as many as they had hoped to, but we were competeing with a much larger show this weekend, so I guess it was par for the course. All in all, Lori and I made up for expenses, and gas. Fun weekend, good to spend time with "Mean" Gene and Candi too (my in-laws). Edited by muskynightmare 1/30/2005 4:39 PM

Posts: 941 Location: Freedom, WI | The show was very good for a small first time show, I sold enough to pay for my costs. Met some people I have not seen in a while and some new ones that I will remember. They went out of there way to help the vendors. They even brought bottled water around during the show and they seemed to be more worried that the vendors were selling stuff.

Posts: 2754 Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | I really ejoyed this show- I decided to pay for a booth even though I didn't have any lures to sell- Just got off an airplane & got home about midnight Friday. My buddy Mike just had rotator cuff surgery so he's still down. Took Jazzy(9) & X-Man (6), they had a ball- Really enjoyed talking with Muskienightmare, TNT Tackle and other vendor's - picked up a copy of John Dettloff's book about Louie Spray- some interesting reading- I'm up to about page 92 already. .... Thanks John. See my blog for more on the show- Special thanks to Bill Green & all the folks from God's Country Chapter of Muskies Inc who put it together. See you next year. Have fun Al The Aliens are coming! Edited by ESOX Maniac 1/31/2005 8:43 AM

Posts: 1936 Location: Eau Claire, WI | Terry and all from God's country. Nice show... Your group did a very good job. Having a pool a few feet out the vendor hall made it all the better. Was good to see some buddy's I haven't seen in a while. Roger from h20 has some very nice looking new gliders. My old buddy Dave from TNT is making some fine looking topwaters. And for you Phantom lovers...wait until you see the new deep running model Todd has...too sweet. Hey Al, Saw the Zalt table but didn't see you... Do the muskies in Redstone like those big rubber squid you had on the table.. ![]() Mark Musky Adventures Chippewa Falls, WI www.markhintz.com

Posts: 87 | Thanks you vendors for the positive feedback. Of cource we were very concerned that you were selling baits, after all it is you guys and gals that make the show. The feedback has been appreciated from everyone so far and we already had a meeting to discuss how we can improve the show next year. Helping run the show was a lot of work but it was nice to get a chance to talk to all the vendors a get to know some of the them. We will keep in touch with all of you and hope to see at some of the shows. My wife Jane spent so much time helping with the show that she is going to try some muskie fishing herself. Thanks again Terry Mc Kinney

Posts: 2754 Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Mark- I was probably out at the pool demo or chasing down Zavier (X-Man-> my grandson) - Thanks to Muskienightmare's candy jar, and I thought it was the giant chocalate covered "Long John" he had for lunch while Larry Ramsell was speaking! ![]() No, I haven't thrown them at Redstone- but some WI River fish have inflicted some serious attacks on my first proto/test of the lure the last week of November. ( 9 fish in the net in ~ 7 hours) - Can't wait for the 2005 season to open. I've named it the "ESOX Alien", not your ordinary every day squid either, each has my patent pending rigging to improve hook set hookup's. Have fun Al Edited by ESOX Maniac 1/30/2005 9:14 PM

Posts: 20255 Location: oswego, il | Here is some good feedback. I would have liked to come to the show but it was on the same weekend as the extrreme show that was around 3hrs away. There are 3 small one day musky shows in wisconsin. I have been saying this for about 3 years now. Since it is a one day show, why not scedule it the saturday of superbowl weekend. It is ALWAYS wide open, no big shows are ever scheduled so what is there to do on that saturday?

Posts: 2112 Location: The Sportsman, home, or out on the water | That's a great idea, Todd. However, it would not be a good thing if all the little shows did it the same weekend, though. Hey Todd, please forward the pics that Eric sent you (he told me too ask you). Thanx.

To all of our vendors at the show. You were the greatest! We could not have asked for a better group of people. You were all such a pleasure to work with. Thank you for all the positive feed back. The best part of this show for us (after the months of work), was seeing it all come together and meeting all the wonderful people we had been talking to for the last couple of months. Thanks to Kevin Figgins, Steve Genson, Scott Keipper of Fig Rig and Big Game Tackle, to Jake and Angie from Flambea Forest, to Ryan Jinkerson of Ry-Lures, Corey Juddson of Big Judd's Leaders, Dan Vogel of Dunwright Tackle, Bill and Kay Janney of Janney Tails, Greg Nimmer of Nimmer Swimmer, Jim Stroede of Stroege Tackle & Guide Service, Roger Watters of H2O, Dave Van Dorn of Dryberry Falls, Ron Bently of Hawg Seekers, John Myhre of Sportsmen's Lodge, Tom Reidel of Musky Madness, Fred Johnson of Tinseltails, Rob and Lori Peterson from Musky Nightmare, Ken Kluck of KDC, Dave Lutz of TNT, John Dettloff of Indian Trails, Phil Drury of American Hardwoods, Roger and Deb Williamson of Cattails, Greg Ide of Barker Bay, Blair of No Box, Todd Cleveland of Phantom Lures, Eric Sies of Pfiefer Tackle, Roger and Patty Heden of TC Tackle, Dan Seibert from Seibert Guide Service, Bob Patterson, Zalt Lures, Twin Cities Chapter Muskies Inc. and Howling Worlf- Scott and Julie Cornish, Gander Mt.- Jim Wiltinger. (Hope I didn't miss anyone) Special thanks to Rich Reinert, one of our speakers, and good friend, for helping bring this all together. Couldn't have done it without you!!! Also thank you to Bill Green, Terry & Jane McKinney, Duncan & Keara, Jim and Dianne Mazzone, Larry and Ardelle Green, Todd and Kim Smith. Nothing better than family and great friends to work with. I don’t know exactly where to start with all the thank yous. Maybe the speakers first. Larry, you are someone that I had heard a lot about before I ever go to meet you at your place just over a year ago in September. The light was on in your house when my sister and I stopped in to bug you. You took the time to show us all the pictures on the walls, you answered questions and gave us advice, and told us we could stop by anytime. We were impressed. Thank you for coming to the show and sharing your knowledge with the group that was there. It meant a lot to have you there. Thank you. Rich, you are something else. Going beyond what was asked of you. You seem to be able to make people happy when they need it the most. I know of two young boys that will never forget January 29th. I’m going to be totally honest. About two years ago, when I met you, I wasn’t sure about you. But since then, I can honestly say that you don’t let people fail at things. I have also figured out that you are one of those people you meet in life that can change a person's life for the better. You, like Larry and Dave, are willing to help educate people when asked. And for that I say think you for everything you did along the way to help make this event a success. Thanks again. Dave, when I gave you that picture, I never thought it would be part of your presentation. It was neat to see. I know the chapter and myself included have sort of been a pain in the rear, always calling for this or calling for that. You have never let us down. To prove my point about calling all the time, I will be calling about your Suicks on hook removal and rubber bank trick. Need some advice. Dave, you are also a top notch educator and someone that will go out of their way to help out. Thank you. Thank you Larry, Rich and Dave, you were all good to listen to. Now for the vendors. I hope everything went well for all. I apologize for the numbers not being what I expected or hoped for. I do agree more advertising needed, but the chapter’s budget was limited. Hopefully next year, we will be able to start earlier and be more prepared. Two and a half months wasn’t a lot of time. Anyway, thanks to you guys, it went well. I’m going to keep this part short but to the point. I want to thank Phil Drury, Greg Ide, Scott Kiepper, Steve Genson, Corey Judson, Roger Williamson, Dave Van Dorn, Dan and Natalie Vogel, Kevin Figgins, Jake and Angie, Roger Watters, Ron Bentley, Scott and Julie Cornish, John Dettloff, Bill and Kay Janney, Ken Kluch, Tom Riedel, Rob and Lori Peterson, Greg Nimmer, Bob Patterson, Eric Siese, Todd Cleveland, Ryan Jinkerson, Jim Stroede, Charlie and Patty Heden, Fred Johnson, Dave Lutz, Twin Cities MI Chapter, John Myhre, Dan Seibert, Al Warner, and Blair Harrington, also Gander Mt. and Jim and Paul. I will be calling everybody for their input/advice. We couldn’t have done it without all of you. Thank you al very much. And now, for those who helped me personally. Jim and Diane Mazzone, you had a tough job to do with not a lot of money. But you did what you could and I couldn’t have done it without the two of you. You had the contacts that we needed and new exactly what we needed Thank You Very Much!!! Terry and Jane McKinney. You two made life easier. When I had a question about the facility, you had the answer. When I needed some advice on things in general, you seemed to have the answers. Even though Jane, you don’t like fishing, you don’t have a choice this summer. Thanks for skipping work, Terry, to do this project. I couldn’t have done it without the two of you. Thanks Very Much!!! Penny, I can’t say enough. You were the heart and soul of this project. But when times are tough you are always there for me not matter what it takes. Some day maybe I can repay you for all that you have done. When we do this next year, with our without the clubs input, I’m sure that with you on board it will be another good show. Thanks very much for all that you did on this project. I couldn’t and wouldn’t have done it without you. Thank you!! Dad and Ardelle. Thank you for all the meals and the house you supplied for the small meetings. Your input was much needed. The video taping so we could watch it later was a sacrifice because I know you missed a lot. Being the banker of the bunch and trying to keep it all straight couldn’t be easy, but the two of you kept it all organized and on the up and up. Thanks to the two of you. It sure made things easier. Thanks very much!! Tom Hammill, thank you for the advice and the dividers. It sure made things come together. It did look nice. I will call you to see how I can help you with your show in March. Thanks again. Tom and Sam at Maple Grove. Thank you for working with us, giving us your input, accommodating our needs and for the use of your wonderful facility. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Bill Green
