Location: W. PA. | I started teeing the hooks on a few of my baits this year and like the outcome, way less hook rash, maybe even a little better hookups. My question is are there any baits that you shouldn't tee the hooks on where it would have an adverse affect? Or just any general reasons not to tee your hooks.

| The only bait I have any adverse affect with a tee'd hook is a manta hang ten . It just keeps getting hung up on the back lip ! I tee up all my other baits with good sucesss .I was told by someone a while ago that if you T the hooks it will weaken the hook ? I have never had a hook break .

Location: oswego, il | Yes, I have found that tee-ing the front hook on some verry erratic glider and jerkbaits can cause the hook to hang up on the leader way to frequenlty. The more forward the hook is on the bait the more likely. One bait for sure is the TR Twitcher. Any glider with lots of turn and roll too. |
