Does anyone know what happened to Sponge?
I miss his posts. He expressed his epic
struggles in the pursuit of musky fishing and
life in a way we all appreciated.

Sponger checks in with us now and again, and adds a bit of spice to our day. He became a Rockfish (Striped Bass) angler extrordinaire, and pursues those fish with a vengence.

He was shanghied by some saltwater anglers and is one a pirate ship on the high seas catching rockfish to feed his mates! He does sneek into the captains quarters now and again and uses his computer.

I talked to the Great Spongmeister last night for an hour.
He is doing better than ever. (With the exception of still eating those obnoxious "grits" that he is so devoted to!)
Without having any reasonable muskie options within driving range, he is enjoying catching all sorts of saltwater fishies.
He promised to make some holiday visits to our website.......stay tuned!

Was just gonna say that he's alive and well. Emailed him last week. But Steve beat me to it.

He'll get a package from me in about a week.

I was thinking the same thing a few days ago. Here is a guy who has made such an impact on this board that we are still talking about him even though he is no longer "regularly" posting. i do miss his perspective/humor on things. I still laugh when i saw the cartoon for the first time and realized what your nickname really was about!!!!!! If you see this post, have a happy new year!!!!! And catch lots o stripers!

Slow days at work I get waaay back into the archived posts from the first year of M1st and just howl with laughter at some of his posts and sayings. We've gotten much too classy in our older ages. m
