When - Released this week December 15, 2004 (mine is on the way!)
How - Filmed by Matt Gawlik on location across many bodies of water
Why - To try and convey a feel for the Canadian Shield (show his love for the Canadian wilderness)

The story in the Muskies on the Shield book of Dick going out fishing by himself one morning on NW Angle LOTW, seeing a duck try to distract a bear away from her nest, Dick catching a musky while doing that, and another Bear sitting down to watch, all of which he captured on video. Probably the experience that started the concept of a Muskies on the Shield DVD!
