| Well, sadly I put the boat away for the year on Sunday, but before I did I managed to catch one last Muskie on Saturday.
I was trolling out on Lake Bemidji, and managed to hook up with a decent Muskie.
I was fishing solo, so I couldn't get a very good measurment (not too mention the snow flurries, freezing cold water and numb hands) but it was between 45 and 47 inches.
I thought this fish looked real fat so I threw my sewing tape around it to get a girth measurement, this muskie had a no BS 25 inch girth, I measured it 3 times because I couldn't believe it.
While it isn't the longest fish I have caugth, this was certainly one of the heaviest, I believe the clinical term for this fish would be "morbidly obese".
It sure made it hard to put the boat away....

| I am just glad I know where it hangs out in the fall, can't wait to catch it in a few years - especially if it keeps eating like that!
After release it kept swimming along the surface, probably a little bouyant with that 10+lbs of fish in its stomach... |
