I readied my deer stands, split and stacked firewood, fixed the running board on the truck, and the weekend was gone. How'd you do chasing muskies Saturday and Sunday?

I chased new tires onto the truck on Saturday. We're set for ice fishing now.
Sunday I got to watch davej pull a fat 41 into the boat and took a couple pics. We pretty much didn't do crap after that.

Typical fall....get wonderful, comfortable stable fishing weather and the fishing stinks!!!! POUNDED the water sat and a good chunk of sunday...moved a few 45 ish fish on sat but nothing in the boat...Sunday was worse...not a lot of action at all from most of the guys I talked too...I am sure someone stumbled into an eater...but they were the very lucky ones here in Madison...

Beautiful day on Pelican. Had to break a little ice to get out, but the weather was perfect. Fish were somewhat cooperative, they just didn't want to get there pictures taken. Lost a good 25# class fish on a sucker, had one eat the tail on a Mag Dawg, and lost another on a Manta. Hopefully that wasn't the last day for my boat, I would hate to end it on a 0 fer three.

Two long days of fishing this week and only one fish to show for it. Something different for me though, the last tiger I caught was in 1998.

On Saturday my boat partner nailed his biggest musky a 42 incher and then proceeded to beat that with a fat 45 incher about 2 hours later!

What a GREAT day!!!

Missed the Fox River outing because my Mother in Law has 150 acres in Missouri. Rifle season opened there on Saturday...saw 14 deer on opening day, 7 different bucks, they were chasing does like crazy. Harvested this bad boy at 10 a.m. Was just going to get a skull mount...but if he grosses over 140 may need to get a shoulder mount. He only has a 15-1/2" inside spread so not quite sure what I am going to do??? My brother also harvested a beautiful 130 gross 10 pointer.

slow weekend for me in the minocqua/boulder area. hit 5 differnt lakes, only raised 4 fish. had to break ice in backwater areas to get on main lakes. fri was 1/2 inch, saturday was a full inch of ice. i think with some warmer temps and possible rain up there you will be ok for another week.

Fished Pewaukee on Saturday, my partner in the back of my boat had his first 3 fish day. He boated a 43"er, 39"er & followed it up with a little 33, all fish were caught on small 11 to 12"Suckers and RELEASED.

The funny thing was we had the Stereo BLASTING all frikken day, we were in rare form and started drinking beer at 9:00am, we managed to get totally lost on the way to Smokey's to buy suckers and by the time we got there they had no parking at their launch. Our only option was to launch at the west end and managed to get lost again looking for that one! Thus the beer was a big priority by the time we finally got on the water.

At one point in the day when he had another pick up, he looked at me with a big smile and said " this one likes Jimmy Hendricks" and then set the hooks! LOL!! This was a big day for a guy that has had it tough this year, I was very happy I could put the boat into a area that was producing some fish!! What a total blast! Who says you have to be quiet to catch fish!

O... I got skunked but, I did have a nice one follow a Wally Pog (Spelling) I love topwaters!!

I fished with my buddy MRoberts for our annual November Musky Hunt in the Rhinelander/Mincoqua area. Mike was the hot stick this weekend boating 5 fish with a pair of 44 inchers. I was able to boat two fish (40, 41) to bring our total to seven. We fished 5 different lakes from deep cisco water to dark sucker-based lakes. The dark water was least productive and the cisco lakes are still in kind of a funk from turnover (murky). Fish seemed skinnier than normal as well.... especially for November. Overall, it was an awesome weekend with COLD mornings and beautiful, sunny, calm weather in the afternoon.

Not really the weekend anymore, but a report none the less. Fished a clear, relatively shallow Oneida County (the "B" lake Jonesi)lake today with Dennis from the board. Air temps were tolerable and not much wind. We moved 6+ fish on the steep breaks in about 13-15ft of water. Weeds were absolutely none existent mostly due to the rusty crayfish, so we concentrated on the breaks and rock piles, and cribs. Most of the follows were upper 30's fish with no big girls showing themselves. Follows came on Depthraiders, Manta's and I had a follow on my first cast with a Wabull. Tough bite as expected though nice to get the Tuffy out for the last time this season.

my buddy's 5th fish ever (all this year), and his best at 43" from up in Rhinelander.
followed up a black/orange shallow dawg, and then went and nailed the sucker.
he's now got the Fever!
i pulled a 22" and a 30" the same day.
special thanks to sworrall for giving us pointers on fishing the lake, and giving us a place to "hideout"!

my other buddy Winston managed a 39" on a sucker while we were out with Todd Forcier as well. all in all a nice couple days for mid-November.
