| Well getting to the end of the year. My Yamaha 225 's skeg is looking a little abused. Thinking about getting her looking pretty again but this time putting a skeg protector on it.
Does anybody have any imput good or bad about Skeg Protectors?
Do they Really Work?
Who makes a good one? |

Location: Hayward, WI | I have seen problems with the stainless skeg protectors. Instead of taking a chunk out of your skeg, which is easily fixed, you can actually rip off the whole skeg. If skeg is broke off too close to housing you are looking at a new gearcase. Also can void warranty on gearcase if new motor. |
