Does anybody have a list of the companies coming to Pittsburgh?
I believe that Thorne Bros. is not coming, just wondering who else is gonna be there.

I was disappointed in the dates. I mean how many people have money after Christmas? I know I don't have much. Looks like I'm gonna have to start a Pittsburgh Musky Show piggy bank today so I will have a little stash ready.

Maybe you need to start whittlin your own baits like 3/4's of the other West Virginians.

You got a porch, don't you?

Raze,
Maybe you need to get me the baits you promised me and quit typing on the computer...lol
Just kidding, yeah I should carve out some baits, but in the long run I'd probably have 2-3 less fingers due to my great carpentry skills.

Last year they had the Pitts show right in the middle of spring spawn, and I heard attendance was way off. With all the shows up nort I guess this is when they could squeeze it in early. Raze, you slay me. m

I think it's great with the new dates. Last year was a great show, awful attendance, I think everyone was fishing!

Unlike the past Pittsburgh expos, it is up to the vendors to contact the people that are hosting the expo. There are still vendors that are expecting to be contacted, and time is quickly running out for the deposits to be mailed in. I've not seen any advertisements for the show.
Thorne Bros. told us that they will not be attending, I don't think that Guides Choice will be there, Cranes told my wife that they probably will not be there, as well as Willeys Bucktails , and as of today, it's looking like Tuff Shads will not be there. It's too close to Christmas, and it is a very busy time of the year for lure makers.

Chris,
I agree. Too close to Christmas. In my honest opinion I think the show is really not going to do good this year. No one is coming to it. They should have it end of February. That would be my ideal date, but I guess they can't schedule the show around me.
Shawn
I will probably be going to Columbus to the show though. Little closer for me.

Thanks. I loved it last year and had a great time. I sold my boat this year and will be purchasing another one after the first of the year. I may save money (for a better boat) by staying home. However, I may come anyway for the seminars!!

WV Musky,
There are a lot of obstacles involved in picking dates for our shows, especially since we only have three months to choose from. I to would have liked to have the show in February also, but that was not possible for this years show. The first weekend in Feb is Super Bowl weekend, the next is the Milwaukee Musky Show, the following weekend is the Allegheny Sport, Travel & Outdoor Show in Pittsburgh and the last weekend is the Ohio Musky Expo, so unfortunately February wouldn’t work for a show this year. We had an alternate facility for the first weekend in March, but that deal fell through at the last minute, so that left us back at Robert Morris and the only date they could confirm for us at this time was that weekend in January or going back to last years dates at the end of March. We felt that January’s dates would be better, because then we wouldn’t have to worry about nice weather effecting the attendance the way it did last year.

Thanks for replying. I understand how hard it is to put on a show, it's just too bad a better date can't be scheduled. Oh Well. I'm sure the pittsburgh show will do fine this year. Not sure if I can make it, but I will surely try. Thanks again.

Hey Jim S.

We will be there (MRG Custom Painted Baits) and I will be mailing out my contract next week also. If possible, I want to have the same booth next to Mark G. from Frabill. I got a kick out of watching him bend the hoops nine ways to h%$ll and talking about how durable they are. AND HE WAS RIGHT! Thats why theres a Power Catch net in my boat!

Hope to see all the east coast MuskieFirst folks there. Stop by and say hello, always nice to put a face with a name.
