Well, I am the guy that turned them in. I truely believe these guys were not aware of the regs when they set out. They didn't make the meeting the night before and the weather was so crappy I would think they didn't read the regs. I knew they had registered a fish earlier in the day and saw them lose another on a sucker rig. I was trolling the area when I noticed the two sucker rigs and both of them casting. I even took two passes by to make sure i was sure. When I asked them how many lines they had out they already heard me report them on the marine radio. They did tell me they thought it was 4 lines per boat. I would had never turned them in if I didn't know they had registered a fish. I simply would had told them to pull the extra line and went on my way. It wouldn't had been fair to the winning team if they would had scored an extra fish or if someone would had registered a shorter fish than theirs and took 4th. I don't consider these guys cheaters! I truely think they made a mistake . The fact is they had increased there odds 25% compared to everyone else. Thats all I know. They know the real story. Believe it or not I felt bad turning them in. Its one of those things that had to be done when money is involved.

I would like to reply based on reading the general discussion on Musky Nuts web site http://www.muskynut.com/. The boso is the Ranger is me. When I came in to tournament headquarters I went to Muskie Mike and asked him if he needed me to verify what I had saw. He told me ''NO'' it was taken care of. I dropped the subject after that. If someone else was talking about you thats their right. As far as the spot you were fishing being ''Your Spot'' I was boat 4 and was there all day. We all lost fish that day or had follows. My boat had lost two fish and had had 5 follows that day in ''Your Spot'' from 7am to 4pm. Maybe if you see someone not ''obeying '' the rules you'll understand. Read my previous post I never called you a cheater. I'm done talking about this crap. I fish tournaments for fun and don't need someone talking smack about me or my partner when we did what anyone else should had done. Take it out on yourselfs and not the guys that turned you in.

Posts: 3242 Location: Racine, Wi | Rick, you can also see that I did appologize a bit farther down, as I may have gotten a little hot initially. I think that you 2 did the right thing, and I am not angry at that, it was the intensity of which I heard the "so what's going to happen with the situation" , that I overheard being said to Mike that got to me. If I mistook that, I do appologize. Again, I have no ill feeling towards you, and of course, I understand it was our own fault, obviously not anyone elses. As you said, it is done, let's fish.

Posts: 3 | Tuffy how bout the same retraction to Rick on Musky Nuts, I was with Rick when he pointed out that you were only allowed three rods per boat. It was then you sat down and pulled the rules out to read them. You put your head down cause you new you made a mistake. It's to bad about the dq. But it was the only thing that could be done. On Musky Nuts you say in your posting that you thought it was three rods per person not per boat, so whose to say which rod the first fish was caught on one or six. You even joke about strecthing the rules in your second post. We saw you set the hook on that fish that broke your line and really would have liked to see ya land it. We had raised a fish in that same area twice in the morning there. No hard feelings here and hope to see you at the next tourney but lets not take it out on us for getting dq'd. You did it to yourself.

Posts: 3 | The winning fish was 461/2 followed by a 44. Quite a few smaller fish caught from my understanding and many seen. Could have been a good day for all with some luck
