Posts: 122 Location: Pittsburgh, PA | Hi All, I realize this doesn't pertain to muskie, but the prizes are great! I am doing a fundraiser to help my sister's family. My brother in law, Russell Lang, an independent contractor, fell from some scaffolding on June 24th, suffering massive head trauma. Since he has gone through 4 head/brain surgeries and one back surgery and is now starting what looks to be at least a year of rehab to relearn the most basic skills. To help his family with living expenses and medical bills, I put together a huge gift basket of fishing and boating merchandise. Please check out www.friendsofruss.com to see the growing list of prizes. The grand prize winner will get, among other stuff, a two night stay at Kentucky Lake, a keelshield, 3 bank battery charger, Matrix 17 depth finder and much more. For every $5 dollars donated, your will get one entry for the prizes. Everything was donated so all proceeds will go to the family. The drawing will be held at my local Gander mountain and the prizes will be sent to the winner! Please take a look. www.friendsofruss.com Thanks all! Rich D

Posts: 699 Location: Hugo, MN | I checked out this website and there are some decent prizes in this raffle like a 2 yr sub to Musky Hunter and a 1 yr sub to that other magazine. Seems like a pretty good cause too. To be eligible for the raffle it says you have to donate by October 8th.

Posts: 122 Location: Pittsburgh, PA | Thank you both. Prizes are still coming in, and I will update the website frequently. If you have donated through paypal, I will get an email with the amount. I will respond back to you in a day or so, letting you know that it was received and the number of entries. After the drawing, I will post the winners on the site. Rich D

Posts: 122 Location: Pittsburgh, PA | I realized from posting on another site, some people may question if this is real or a scam. Some other people have confirmed it is on the up and up on Walleye central or you can read all the updates for the past two months on trackerowners.com. Just search for postings by Rich D. If any of you know Will S. from this site, he grew up with my brother in law and can also confirm it. I should also note that pay pal donations have to be in by midnight on Oct 8 2004 to be eligible for the prize drawing. Thanks! Rich D

Posts: 122 Location: Pittsburgh, PA | Hi All, I just wanted to bump this. One week left to make donations on line. The Grand prize winner will also be receiving a Frabill Kahuna net! That brings the grand prize close to $2500 in prizes. Incidently, my brother in law will be released from the hospital, after 100 days, this Saturday. He will now do rehab as an outpatient. His math and reading skills are up to a 4th grade level and they think with in a year, he will be back to the level before the accident. Physically, he will not be able to work, but should have about 85% of his mobility back within the same time frame. Rich D

Posts: 2091 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Glad to hear he is improving. Keep giving him words of encouragement, motivation is going to be hard for him at first but once he starts even seeing minor improvements things will be looking up.
