Posts: 2089 | What is it and how does one acquire it?On the Woods trip, I did a u turn to pick up a floating pop can.Next spot on my 1st cast, 48" in the net.Hmmm.TomyV works the Mojo like no other.I stopped in Nestor Falls to see an old friend/Guru.Had a nice talk and really got the dude and I focused on the task at hand.Ironically he laughed when I said we were moving fish on topwater. We left his place and I got the 51 1/2 on topwater.Hmmmm.What works for you? Don't laugh, it works. Steve

| I don't know what Mojo has to do with it but it certainly seems when you lose focus(thinking about that Snicker bar in your lunch box for example) is the very time all hell breaks loose. | |||

| I've lost my Mojo and can't seem to find it. Whenever you break for a drink, sandwich, or snack, then you see fish when you are casting or you hook fish when you are trolling. Almost never fails so I guess Mojo plays into it? Steve | |||

| Mojo is my equivilent to the muskie goddess, when you do the right things you are rewarded. Example- you pick up the empty beer can floating in your lake, you get a reward from the muskie goddess. Maybe not immediately, but ALWAYS every time. Helping someone who needs help (directions, tow, knock to the head, etc) or maybe slowing down so the boat wake doesn't swamp the family fishing for crappies, or even just a little sip of beer into the lake (goddess' get thirsty too) are just some of the things that make one outshine others that the muskie goddess takes note of and rewards you when it's possible. Remember, it's not a right that the muskie goddess is in your boat, it's a priviledge. capt bigfish | |||

Location: Athens, Ohio | Steve, I'm glad that the spirits who guided this outing directed big fish and good conditions your way. Few are as deserving as you, buddy. Mojo is powerful, more power to ya. m

Posts: 28 | Mojo is definately one of the more advanced techniques involved with muskie fishing. I'm thinking of writing an article.

Posts: 267 Location: Right behind you (tap, tap) BOOO | Don't know anything about this MOJO of which you all speak... It has yet to come my way this year... What are some early signs of said MOJO? I just want to know so I can be prepared when it comes... Esox23

Posts: 3242 Location: Racine, Wi | I like to call it MOJOEL It requires being quite excentric at times, or subdued to your environment. There are different forms for each of us. Some things that appear negative, can actually be an advance sign of good MOJOEL to come. I think Jonesi can attest to that. Jonesi has some serious MOJOEL going on right now!!!!!! This weekend, the Extreme One and I had all kinds of MOJOEL, from catching fish to the stagette party. Though, I'm not sure what we used to get the MOJOEL. I am still working on that.

Posts: 2089 | Mojo as I understand it is a FEELING on the water. Not to get too cheesy, but the whole becoming one with nature. There are 2 kinds of mojo, good and bad.I know what bad mojo is.I was born on Feb.29th of 68.Leap Year. So, for me, the mojo thing started a looong time ago.I talk to the fish as well as particular baits.Hey, Mark Fydrich used to talk to the baseball, so I'm not too nuts.MUST have fun. This is when the most positive mojo,in the history of positive mojo, arrives. Posts: 267 Location: Right behind you (tap, tap) BOOO | Funny that is exactly what I was thinking... but I don't think MOJO has much to do with fish in the boat... I have fun everytime I'm out, heck I even have fun waiting and getting ready to hit the water... Some of the best times are when everything is getting underway... MOJO = Your own Happy Place!!!!!
