Posts: 2427 Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | Hey fellow muskiefirst members, Below you will find a link to a new company to hit the musky market. These lures are the real deal, and are made better than most mass produced gliders out there. I personally have both the Beer Belly Darter as well as the first Turmoil glider ever made. These lures are simply awesome. The finish on these lures are made to withstand the punishment of the mighty musky and look so life like!! Check them out for yourself! These things are sweet!!!! http://www.bikinibaitcompany.com

Posts: 4266 | Nice lures. I've been checking them out on e-bay. Glad to hear a testimonial about them. I just got 100 blanks today for a glider that I'm working on. Sent a few out to some "inner circle" pro staffers. It's not a heavy glider, it's made to snap/snap...hover. I've been working on the weighting, and can get them to hang or very slow fall with a little shimmy. I tell ya, making lures from scratch is no picnic. Sealing, sanding, weighting, painting, sealing twice. It's lots of work, but when I stick the hooks into a four -footer on Cass next week, it will all be worth it. I'll attach a pic of a prototype. Don't have a name for it yet. Any suggestions? Beav Edited by Beaver 9/4/2004 7:32 PM Attachments ---------------- New Beaverbait pattern.JPG (9KB - 145 downloads)

| Beav, "Armegeddon" The perfect name for the lure. Being a member of the inner circle I feel I'm qualified to name it. ? | |||

Posts: 4266 | I have to listen to Armageddon again and find out what the name of the gerbil was.....that will be the name. What do you think of it? I'm thinking of painting them, and then writing the buyers name on the top of it before I clearcoat it.......what do you think about that idea? Got 50 bodies today, but with my Cass trip coming up, I'm not going to have time to get after them until I get home. I hope early October is warm, or they'll have to wait until spring. I stopped by a buddies house today to show him some of the paint jobs, and he pulled $100 out of his wallet and said,"I'll take 4." Sorry, but the few that I have are going to MN with me. I did have a chance to paint some Smuttlys (Thanks Mark). I'll post a pic of some of the new paint jobs that I'm working on. Trying to pick 5 or 6 to stay with. (BTW, gerbil's name was Raggin', so I think it just might be Armaggedon.) Posts: 4266 | The thru-wires are Smuttleys. Mark was nice enough to sell me some blanks so I could paint them myself. They are an awesome glider at a nice price. I spent that last two days just prepping the 50 bodies that I got for my Castors. Now they'll have to sit until I get back from Cass on the 25th. School starts tomorrow. Hockey practice. Packing.......etc. No time to make lures, time to catch fish. Beav
