OK, just got home from work to some bad news.....my little brother who was supposed to be my boat partner for the sabaskong trip just broke his leg tonight, and isnt going to be able to make the trip. So I figure I will still be alright since my cousin was going to be coming along too....WRONG. He just found out that he cant get off of work. So here I am with a big dilemma. I have been looking forward to this trip forever, and I am more than willing to drive solo from Milwaukee, but I wont be able to afford a rental boat on top of paying for the rental car and other expenses that im not going to be able to split anymore. I know its a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone else was heading up solo and wouldnt mind having someone tag along in their boat. I dont want to be a burden on anyone, but I figured it was worth a shot. If not, I will have to check out some other options...either way, im sticking a pig sometime in the next week. Thanks a lot fellas. Have a good one.

| Speaking from boatless outing experience. Just go fish it. There will be plenty of space for you to fish, as muskiefirsters are a generous bunch. |

This is a chance for me to return the favor of the kind Muskie First guys who let me boat slut them.
For example: Shawn Treats Kellet, Duck, Jason Smith, Mikie Moschell...
It's a helluva good deal price-wise, and you'll even meet some friendlies from Wisconsin.
Have the people at the pier in Morson call over to the lodge, and they'll send a boat to get you. I think it's like $35 for the ride out. I can probably give you a ride back on the following Saturday, otherwise you can always have the lodge launch bring you back.
I highly recommend going in spite of your partner's problems.

I forgot to mention Steve Cady, despite his being a novice (and an oddball) he took me out anyway. (We got skunked of course)
EL, I am sending an email to you, there's 3 guys leaving from Waukesha tomorrow early morning. They are meeting me in Minneapolis and we're heading to Baudette tomorrow night by way of my place in Minneapolis.
You could caravan up with us.
