Posts: 2515 Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | Wow, now that's a Chromer.......love the color of those fish out in the lake, too bad they turn into Killer Whales when they get into the river....but that's the life cycle. Rick, I sent you an email about the stuff, I got a couple of questions.

Posts: 66 Location: Wales Wi. | Hey Shep, tried to raise you on the radio with no luck...hope you got out there and got into the action..We went 9 for about 16 or 17 fish on, it was one of those days for us when Murphys law was in full gear. Lost 3, 4 year olds on cables, motors, and 1 to a broken rod. Fished Sat 5a-11a and had a steady bite all morning in 65-70 fow between the filter and the towers with green glow PK magnum spoons taking 75% of the hits, the rest were on PK mags of purple/ black. Gave up using flies but heard some were still getting hits on them along with J plugs. Going out on Monday,Fiday and Sat..One in the box on 68.

Posts: 18 | Well we didn't kill them but we had alot of fun. 6 fish and couldn't even count the number of lost or missed fish. Fished from 4-9. Morning bite seemed to be on spoons then switch to dodger flys. Fished with Gander Mountain guide and Bill. Was nice to finally meet some of you guys from the web site. I got a get out of jail pass for next weekend from wife. Debating going back to the big pond or hitting Okauchee . Need to prepair for the ironaman September 11th. Lets hope he gets a full field at the tournament . Rick

I had an awsome time out there and I owe a huge thanks to Rick Hess and Bill V(I'm not going to try to spell it). Rick's Ranger 620 is an amazing piece of equipment. We saw some and lost more, but I didnt look at it as a die hard fishing trip, but more of an opportunity to meet some new friends. Thanks to Shep for pulling everybody together. Esox Dan, Mike K and Tuffy, good to meet you guys as well....if we would have waited any longer...I would have lost some weight in the fish cleaning shack! What's next ...ICE FIRST!???!! Hope everybody that was at the Salmon first outting can make the Kly Tourny, Oct 30 at Okauchee!

Posts: 1137 Location: Holly, MI | Report from the other side of the pond.. We went out of Grand Haven, Michigan Saturday and put 12 in the boat. All Kings except for 1 steelie and one Coho. Wire/dipsy/hootchie/fly was hot and blue/green Mag Dolphin off the rigger. Steelhead off leadcore and one King off meat. We put five back early so we wouldn't limit on the Kings and took 7 home to grill and smoke, had some today. We also lost our share and couldn't figure out why on some, I guess they are just darn good at shaking the hook. Had one pop the wire and take a dipsy/flasher/fly for a souviner. He came up and jumped 3 or 4 times and threw the hardware. I had one spoon come back to the boat after losing a fish that I had on for a while that had the hook missing. Broke? Fun stuff. Lots of power.

Didn't mean to get a debate started as to who is the best Boat Slut, thanks for the vote of confidence Jim Komar. Had a blast on the Big Sewer on saturday morning. Dan Peckles and I ended up with 10 in the box, 3 shakers, one ten pound laker, 6 kings, 5 of which were 13-15 pounds and one 20 pounder. We scored most in 65 to 80 feet of water fishing 35 to 60 feet down on Pro King spoon in the cracked ice finish. It sucked that the cleanig station was down, my garbage will reek. Shep, thanks for getting the ball rolling now I can smoke some fish for my fathers 75th birthday this weekend. Would like to get him out on the pond again soon. I would be glad to be a part of the next Salmon Wolf Pack. Let me know. Jim K. like the idea of closing the tavern/ mex food, then right to the pond.
