| Just wondering if any of you other musky nuts have musky baits hanging from the rearview mirror in your truck or car. I have a Buchertail 700 series "Sunset" colored bucktail in my truck, I've caught a number of fish on it and the last one bent it pretty good so I just bought a new one. Just thought it'd be fun to know! Shawn | |||

Posts: 3242 Location: Racine, Wi | I have baits on the console, in the glove box, in the back seat, and in the back of my truck. None on the mirror though. I had one almost impale me when I hit a bump once, so now, I just have them everywere that I can't possible hook myself unless I roll the truck, and they come flying. In that case, I'm $creeeewd

Posts: 459 Location: New Baden IL | I have the chewed up Storm Swimmin Shad that I caught a 43" on, hanging from my rearview mirror. I was sight fishing this spot, and I saw this fish sitting tight to the bottom, so I threw everything I had at the fish, then it hit me like a ton of lead...JIG IT you dummie! So I snapped it on, and wiggled it right infront of her nose for a while, and she just ignored it! It was driving me nuts!! She was completly unintrested in it. I went to the old bag of tricks, and pinched a piece of Berkley power worm off, and ran it on the hook. I got back to the area where she was, and tried it again and she just flared her gills, and sucked it in and the fight was on! That was one of the coolest strikes I ever saw...it was so subtle, but so violent at the same time! I'd hate to be a 8" long shad at Kinkaid! Rodney LaCaze

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin |
I hung a standard harrasser on my mirror 10 years ago this summer, after catching 3 muskies in 4 casts on it and cutting most of the hooks in northern WI. I never had that much luck on a harrasser since. I think I should take it down and use it again.
| ||
