Posts: 177 Location: Cohasset, MN | He came out of an Itasca county, MN lake (where I do most of my fishing) so I doubt it's redfin or chain but I've never seen quasi-vertical-stripes like that on a northern before. | ||

Posts: 32958 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | It's a Northern pike. Coloration variables are common from white to yellow or even brown, and the markings match a juvenile n Pike perfectly. | ||

Posts: 87 | I fish the same area and have seen a few like this. Its only the small ones so they must get the spots as they get larger. | ||
