Subject: Crow / Kakagi

Hi guys,

Going up to Crow Lake for the first time in two weeks. Will be fishing with a guy who's fished it about 10 times for muskies. But my question is about the smallmouth fishing there. I hear it's excellent. Is that correct? Would like any feedback from anyone who's taken a day of from chasing 'skies on Crow, in pursuit of the smallmouth.

I may just have to pack a spinning rod or two...

Please share any info or past experiences about Crow Lake smallies (and/or muskies too if you wish )

Thanks in advance,

i have stayed on crow before and love the smallmouth fishing. crow also has several portage lakes that are not hard to get to for smallies. a good place to find info is crawfordsresort.com . the guy that owns the camps name is mike. he posts reports often and is a nice guy to talk to. he'll point you in the right direction. we are heading up to lotw on whitefish bay on friday. just a few miles up the road from crawfords. good luck. todd
