If your looking for big fish water Big Tom is a good choice, but it can be a very tough nut to crack. The lake is very clear, and has alot of recreational traffic. There are some very nice deep weededges and tons of rock structure and mid lake humps. Don't over look the suspended bite out here, a lot of the piggies stay out deep with the cisco and we never hear from them in the shallower structure.

Hey Brian, Lake Tomahawk is actually rockin pretty good at that time of year. You will have to deal with alot of boat traffic on weekends, fish early and fish into the dark. I did real well last year in July on Tomahawk fishing classic rock weed structures. Look at the map and study, points and bars my friend, there are lots of nice weedbeds that are not on any maps, cover some water and investigate. Best of luck and hang a hawg!!! Dave Jonesi

Hey by the way, the biggest fish I saw last year was on Lake Tom on July 2, she dragged my fishing partner around my 681, only to spit out a bulldawg as she was coming to the net....... there are some really big fatheads out there!!

Big Tom is a great musky lake.It has or had a few really giant fish,I mean record class.Their is a day bite but it's very short and you have to be on the spot doing the right things.

Catching a 50" out of Tom is very tough, don't know why.I would fish the low light periods.

If I had my choice of times to fish, it would be from dusk to 1:30 a.m.
