I will be on the LOTW on opening day, June 19. Since it has been so cold, I'm wondering if the muskies have spawned. Does anyone know the water temps. and what stage the spawn is in? Also, I assume that the water levels are very high. Is that correct? If the water is high and cold, how would you fish it?

I hear they have been spawning this week, but don,t know if it,s the beginning-end.You are cutting it close to post spawn, and I had one of those up there, and it was real ugly except for one day.We usually go up opening, but moved it back one week, and I think it,s going to work out good for this year. You probably are going to have erratic weather, and if you get some good sunny days, pound the North sandy shorelines facing South.Put your cast on the beach if you can.Topraiders and Bucktails work good for me in this situation. Most of the time,I am going to be in the weeds, and fishing shallow;2-8' of water. There will be a lot of Muskies hanging around in these spawn areas.Any rock structure towards deeper water, close to these spawn bays are also good areas to cover. That,s my pattern for that time of the year.

The muskies are spawning for about the past 10 days. Starting to look kind of beat up in Sabaskong Bay. Crow Lake muskies are stacked in some bays spawing. Weather has been lousy this spring and today has been no exception. Wind, wind and more wind. Rain and more rain. Ready for some stable weather. Don't know about post spawn. Too soon to tell. I'll have a better idea next week.

It's been a cold, rainy spring. Water temps low. Water Levels High. I'd fish for the big girls suspended in deep, deep open waters away from any weeds or reefs with live suckers. Just sit there and drift, all day long. Nail a pig!

SOunds like Canada/NW Ontario is getting the same weather Rhinelander has had all Spring. Hope for a break the first week in July, because I am headed up!

We spent the day yesterday in rush bay yesterday (north-west area) The water temps ranged from from 56 to 61. Lots of big pike and a 10 pound walleye, great day!

Was out today bass fishing. Had a good day with 6 smallies between 16-18". A bonus was the 3 muskies I picked up on a small bucktail, also a 37" northern. Spawn appears to be just about over. Fish are moving out. Water temps were 58.7 today. Fished in a light rain. Tomorrow will have better weather. Opener could be a little tough. Fish rocks adjacent to the spawn areas. Fish the fringes of the spawning bays. Small bucktails, small believers should do the trick.
