| Hey Guys,
I'm thinking about swithing fishing line this year. I currently have some power pro from
last year and notice that it changed color from moss green to white. I was just curious if anybody has used tuff line Xp. Thinking about giving that a try. Some info would be appreciated. |

Location: Davenport, IA | Tuff line XP is my favorite. I like it a lot better than power pro. I had the same line all last year and am using it this year and its still great. Actually it may be the line I had the year before too, I'm not sure. But I do know its strong and I've never broken it other than from a cut in the rod guide. I've never lost a lure snagging it w/ xp and never had a fish break off. I use 80 lb. |

Location: Holly, MI | The spectra fibers do not permanatly hold the dye(the manufacturers admit and print this). They will all fade to white. It is even sold in White. If you are worried about camo, you can use a sharpie or other permanant marker and just color 10 or 20 feet at the tip of your line. I'm stickin' with Power Pro. |

| I like the Tuff-Line. It does fade a little but I haven't had a breakoff yet with it. I tried Power Pro and Fireline and didn't care for them. I am wondering how the new Stren superline is? Anyone try it yet? |

Location: Rice Lake,WI | Great line but does show the wear faster than the power pro but I'm sticking with the line that can handle all of it the best,color change does not affect lines ability at all,but I'm suiting up with the pro man...80-100,100 rocks on livebait. You could haul a schoolbus out of the depths with this stuff.

Location: north central wisconsin | I've used em all, and I really like the xp best for durability and price. i use it on rocky rivers much, and it sees alot of abrasion. I like it over power pro and even the new stren(which I think is a bit overpriced) for strength, smoothness, and casting friendliness. I prefer the 80 in the xp. |

Tuff Line Plus says it only has 3% stretch, is 100% spectra fiber and has excellent U.V. resistance which enables it to last up to four times longer than monofilament.
Tuff Line XP: Aerospace technology has been utilized to produce our TUF-Line XP® fishing line. Tension Lock Technology TUF-Line XP® is produced under high tensions allowing more compaction of the fibers during the finishing process. TUF-Line XP® is more compact, smaller in diameter, packs better on reels, offers better knot performance, casts longer, reduces rod tip wraps, and boasts higher abrasion resistance.

| I've used power pro in 80lb for the last three years and love it. I recently had a guy tell me that the spiderwire stealth is much better, has a coating and casts much smoother than the 'pro. Anyone have any experience with this line? Thanks.

Location: Maple Grove, MN | Spiderwire Stealth is basically Whiplash with teflon. It is supposed to be virtually waterproof. I still run 100 lb Whiplash and plan to go to Stealth when my supply of Whiplash runs out. Its the best line I've used as far as abrasion resistence and water retention are concerned.
There are a lot of good lines out there though. |
