| who uses the pike pattern lures, and who has good success with them? i got a gapen pike in the holoform as a gift and was impressed with the finish (action was great too). what lures do you use in pike-flavor as well?

I use the 10" Holoform Green Pike Jake, and have caught a few fish on it, even in lakes without pike in them. I also have a pike colored Reef Hawg that I use too.
I think it's the flash and action more than the color.

Location: Racine, Wi | Don't ever use a pike colored bait on the Manitowish chain. It is a waste of time.
To tell you the truth though, I don't throw them often enough. |

Location: Thief River Falls MN | I think pike colored lures are under utilized, especially on waters that contain alot of small pike. This 43"er hit a Depthraider tipped with about a 18" pike.

Location: ft wayne, IN | They can work very well--they've won me tournaments and put 50's in the boat! They seem to work best in clearer waters. Touch them up with an actual piece of pike on them and they can be unbelievably effective..... |
