Location: Sheldon, IA | Today was just awsome!! I saw more muskies today than I have seen in all my years of fishing for them. Everywhere I looked there were muskies, muskies to the right of me and muskies to the left of me. I was in muskie heaven. There were muskies of every size all in about 4 feet of water. I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Today was really great, tomorrow could be even better.

Location: Sheldon, IA | Ok I guess this was mean to lead a bunch of muskie nuts a stray like this. All the muskies I saw today were not catchable. Today I was up at Spirit lake, so I stopped at the state fish hatchery. They just started to capture muskies to milk them for eggs. So far they were netting Big Spirit and East Okoboji, the biggest muskie was from Spirit. She was 55 inches and weighed 39 lbs. There were quite a few pigs in the tanks. If anybody is in the area the hatchery would be worth the stop but one better hurry, they will only be netting for a few more days. And the muskies are only kept for 24 hours before being released where they came from.
