Posts: 1137 Location: Holly, MI | Wheeoooooooo (how the heck do you spell the long low wolf whistle?) Looks like a million bucks, is it? Tell me more about that unique looking lip. What does it do? Crank? Twitch? Troll? How deep does it run? Floating? Beautiful paint job, who is making these? Looks kinda carp/walleye-ish. Might also be a good St Clair bait if it will troll fast.

Posts: 358 | Hey Tomcat, LOL, I see your memory is still sharp as a tack bud. Yes, the paint job on that bait is one of mine bud (Golden Sucker) Are you fishing the Indiana Classic this year? If so, we will hook up for a drink or two. Rob is fishing it with me again, and it should be a great time!

| Lobi, I had a chance to throw these in the tank at the extreme show quite a bit. They twitch awesome. Wasn't able to troll them in the tank. Seemed to work better twitching than strait reeling. Ty | |||

| Hi, thanks for the interest. Yes, Mike from MRG Muskies was the first one to catch a musky on one after the Molly Bait’s début. He picked some up on Friday and then comes back on Sunday with fish pictures. That was pretty cool. Ty and some other pros were tossing them in the tank at the extreme show. I heard positive feedback from all - thanks. The baits works best with jerks and twitches, and that was what it was designed to do. Upwards, downwards, sideways, double pumps all produce different actions. Like Ty said, the action is slight on a strait crank, but sometimes fish like that too. The bait does troll and I’ve caught fish doing it. When trolled the bait “wonders” back and forth, that’s due to the lip’s design, so it can be “blown out” if speed trolled. But if you troll at idle speeds the bait has nice-looking action. I have a website bradrockbaits.com that should be up and running in a few weeks. Right now the baits are available at Kolar Bait and Tackle (630)372-0125 and also through MRG and Durst custom painting. I’m working on meeting retailers now and hopefully have a network set up this year. Also, that bait Mike showed is closer to 10” 9.875” to be more exact. I guess it depends how you measure. That one weighs just less than 4 ounces. There is also a 2 ounce 7.5” version. Thanks again, Mike Richardson [email protected] | |||

Posts: 1939 Location: Black Creek, WI | Just returned from the local pond and my annual spring tinkering check. Tossed in a few of these new Molly Baits to see what kind of moves they have.... and was pleasantly surprised. Not much action on the straight retrieve, but I'm sure the fish will like the tight "rapala like" wiggle. But, the slow rise of these baits make them an awesome twitchbait. Short, sharp snaps (slack snap is option, but preferred) and these things dart, roll, turn, and flash very nicely with minimal effort. You can work them very erratically in the top 1-3 feet with lengthy pauses very easily. I'm sure turning these lures broadside in front of a lurking musky will get them eaten!! I've finally found that 10" Shallowraider type twitchbait I've been looking for, but with even better construction (these things look virtually indestructable and rock friendly)! Can't wait for the season to open now!!!!! jlong
