| There is some nasty virus going around the muskie world right now. This thing goes off even without opening the attached files. So " DO NOT OPEN YOUR MAIL PROGRAM " if you do not have the most resent virus protection.
My antivirus is updated everyday and this virus was detected but could not be fixed by my antivirus. So I deleted the e-mails and closed my mail server ASAP to get rid of it. I am as I type this running my antivirus to scan all of my files for this thing. Yes I did say I deleted e-mails as I received it twice already today once from a sender called Macfish and the other from Crash's landing.
I hope it isn't anything serious and we can figure out what to do to stop it in it's tracks ASAP.[:(] |

| I just got it again[:(]
I just received it again from crash's landing, this one was sent to my other e-mail address. I noticed that this virus sent itself as a reply to an e-mail I sent him. Now this was 2 different e-mails form 2 different addresses. So if you ever sent an e-mail to crash's Landing you may get a reply so be very carefull now this virus opens itself and you can get infected by just opening the e-mail itself. |

| I've gotten 2 so far, but Norton stopped them... they were from 2 different people in the muskie world.[:((]

| Hey guys,
I'm not familiar with the virus you're getting and I hope not to. However, if you guys are running outlook express that program automaticly opens the first e-mail for you. I don't know if you can or not because I don't run express, but you should be able to check your settings and run express without having the program automaticly open the first e-mail. Just something to check if you're running Outlook Express. |

| How can you get a virus w/o opening an attachment and/or downloading. Most viruses are exe (executable) files and must be downloaded. |

| The file name is " stuff.MP3.pif " and it opens as soon as you open the e-mail. My antivirus got it right away and then I got the gray box asking if I wanted to save or open the file. [:(] I know nothing about this virus but that it gets around real fast. |

| That means unless you click it you wont' get the virus, but if its there and unopened the antivirus can still find it. |
