Mauser took me to his super-secret hometown muskie lake yesterday. Well, it was so secret even the fish haven't found it yet. We fished clear water conditions under bluebird skies. Really cool to see your entire retrieve! Dang, now I know how those baits look in the water, not just a foot from the boat. I hooked a real fine bass, and I think we chased a muskie out from the middle of the lake with my 9.9, but it was still a wonderful day and much better than working (at least, the way I do it). Thanks dude, appreciate the trip.

John, we were talking about you yesterday. Yeah, CJ's doing better, I still wore him out but he did good running the trolling motor and casting smaller baits. Anyway, I told him to check out the Sab Bay Lodge's photo page. A pic of you with your monster, then you roll the cursor over the pic and you turn into Steve Hulbert! Two nice fish.

I'm planning ongoing back to the Bay with Gene, don't think Mauser will make it but anything could happen. Hang in there, tough everywhere in Bush's economy. I just got an e-mail from a buddy of mine in Colorado, he's gone form an $18/hr job to min wage at Radio Shack. Did we lose a war or something ? hang tough, m

I wish I could have been with you two. You are fun guys. We will miss the Mauser and JohnMD at Sabaskong. Mikie, you and I will have to catch their fish in their absence.
