Has anyone found any clip-ons that work decently. I wear glasses and would like to avoid the expense of prescription sunglasses if possible.

Sorry about the earlier blank post. It sort of went off on its own.

My Mom picked up a pair of sunglasses for my Dad called Cocoon fit overs, they are polarized and work great, very comfortable. I used them one weekend when i lost a contact and had to use my glasses. You can do a search in goolge for Cocoon fit over sunglasses and they are a lot of stores that carry them.

Esox23

I bought frames for my prescription that come with magnetic clip ons. Last time I just got polarized gray, this time I got the gray AND an extra clip on and had it done with polarized "shooters yellow".
When I'm richer I'll get another clip on in green as well!

I wear glasses as well. I highly recommend checking out http://www.fitovers.com/ . I've had mine about a year or two and really like them.

I use polarized glasses that are set with my script and are double polarized. Best glasses I have ever owned, got them through the Wal Mart Optical center in Rhinelander. The only problem is one cannot get bifocals in a polarized lens, so I have to peer over the lenses to tie a knot. Thank goodness the line is a larger diameter than the walleye guy's.

Steve,

Are yours tinted grey or green..? I can't remember and am having my optometrist check with their lab about polarizing and mirror coating a pair in my Rx. I love my Ocean Waves in backwater green but my eyes are now bad enough that I have a hard time going without corrective lens and I'm not quite ready to dish out $300 for Rx. Ocean Waves..

Thanks,

Mark

I took a look at the Fitovers website and it looks like those might work. They don't have green available as a lens color - only gray and amber. My guess is that amber would be the better choice and that gray would be too dark. Has anyone tried those lens colors?

Hi Guys,
I am a big fan of amber.

Even though I haven't seen clip-shades there, I gotta list my 2 favorite spots for sunglasses again:

www.sierratradingpost.com

Remeber kids, you are allowed to own as many pairs of shades as you want.

Later,

Fitovers work great. The amber are for low light conditions while the grey are for bright light.
Bought mine from the Sportmart Website. Could not find in any stores around chicago.
