Posts: 2 Location: elgin,il | Went to Kinkaid this weekend h2o temps 53-56 I think they are spawning we only got one fish 33" fatty the other group we went with got skunked. We caught the 33 on a oversized bass spinnerbait, black with orange blades up in the no wake zone. | ||

| The muskies on Kinkaid haven't spawned yet, the fishing has just been a little up and down with all the goofy weather we have been getting. None of the fish that have been netted by the biologist up in Johnson Creek have been free flowing females. Usually the fish on Kinkaid spawn the very last few days of March or the first week of April. Chad | |||

| Hey, Kinkaidians. Being in high school and all, I didn't get a chance to take out the boat this weekend, seeing as how dad wasn't freed-up, but I ended up taking my prom date down to the spillway to sit by th e falls, and enjoy a little afternoon luncheon...as well as some afternoon Jake crunchin'. Sincerly, Cor yP. Allen "Tubakka" | |||

| Correction on my thinking: The fish I saw were low to mid 30" fish, fish that were too smallt o be AT LEAST 5 years old, since the spillway barrier was put upin '98, given that fish stopped going over it then. HOw ef fective is the barrier anyway? I talked to a bass down there that caught one 47 1/2" a couple summers ago during a rain storm. BIG fish. | |||
