| I am looking to get a new muskie reel for this year. Nothing to over priced or anything. I looked at Okuma reels and the new st. croix avid reel. If anyone could give me any info on these reels or any other reel that would be good, it would be greatly appreciated.

| Can't go wrong with Abu Garcia 6500 C3 (or C4 for hi-Speed). I own about 8 or 9 and haven't had a problem. I have also heard that Abu is the best when it comes to service . Well priced, best bang for the buck. |

Location: Iowa | I don't think you can go wrong with Garcia. They are the only reels I have used, so I can't compare, but they have always had great customer service for me, sometimes replacing abused reels with brand new ones, and I've only been charged once. It was a very acceptable charge. I have C3's, C4's, CB's and a new Morrum that I've only used a few trips, and it is the best reel I've owned, but like I said, I can't compare to other brands because I have always been loyal to Garcia. |
