I have a 7' Boron Musky rod made by Phoenix rods of California.. I stopped using this rod because I thought it lacked enough backbone on hooksets. When using it I only used either Mono or Musky master.. What I am wondering tonight is this, I never used this rod with a reel spooled with any of the superbraids. Could a switch to superbraids help on what I thought to be the lack of backbone on this rod? What do you guys think? |
