I have had Power Poles on my last two boats but now have an Alumacraft 1850 tiller and don't have the bilge space for the pump. I am looking at a talon which will have to be mounted on the same side as my Helix transducer. How much flex do these things have Am I okay with mounting directly to the transom or should I invest in the 6" standoff bracket.
Appreciate your thoughts.

Here's mine on a 1625 Lund. No flex at all. Love it!

Perfect, that's exactly where I'm going to mount
