Location: Elk River, Minnesota | The countdown to Saturday is to 5!!
Where will you be? Will you get out? What will you throw?
I'm up around Walker....trying to decide on which direction to go.
West to Mantrap, North toward Cass Lake, Leech? Or...possibly stay more local on the boy lake chain? Go East to Grand Rapids area? Decisions, Decisions....
Definitely be throwing a twitch bait or a glider, with small spinners ready to go.
Guess we will see what the week brings.
You?

| Unfortunately, I cant travel far this weekend due to prior commitments. It looks like Fox near Sherburne is it. I dont expect much luck on that lake, but I get to go fishing, at least. |

Location: Brighton CO. | Quite a few years ago when my dad was still around we took a trip to the Deer River area for the opener (my mom's home town ) It was a very late spring that year so we didn't get in the Muskies but caught some Pike and good sized Smallmouths and got to visit some relatives. I love the cooler weather and before the crush of summer. This is one of my favorite times of year to fish. Wish I was going. |

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota | I will be on vermilion both days this weekend, hopefully with the cooler spring I can get on a more traditionally shallow spring bite with twitch baits and burning little blades. Last 2 openers up there have been tough for me up there, hope that changes |
