Posts: 364 Location: in the white boat | Opted out of the Expo at the last minute and decided to join a few MuskieFirst people over at Lake I. A few items of note from the short weekend: 1. The mild mannered and easy going "Duck" turns into a professional card shark when the sun goes down, and also moonlights as a lumberjack. 2. Jonesi has more baits than ToddM, and is prone to breaking things. 3. The Thick One went home with far fewer baits than he came with. Wabulls, Jer-bulls, Weagles, and Beagles for everyone! He also showed something he calls a "Rat Belly". Ask him to show it to you next time you see him. 4. Kly was able to fend off attacks by a certain uniquely colored Wabull with only one good arm. The most entertaining event of the weekend. 5. There's not much for "nightlife" in Creston, IA. Needless to say, the fishing was below average, with wind gusts of 40mph, and water temps just barely above 40 deg, it was hard to keep the enthusiasm. No big deal, we'll give it another shot in a few weeks. Thanks guys, had a great time!

Posts: 20218 Location: oswego, il | Jonesi has more baits than me? He sold 3000 at the swap meet in chiacago. I figured that brought him down to about 8500 baits to my 9250. This is a blow to my ultra fragile ego. I will now have to bid on every single musky bait on ebay or steal all of jonesi's credit cards.

Posts: 1335 Location: Chicago, Beverly | Had to do some ice breaking toget my boat launched saturday. Nothing like those 16 degree temps friday night to freeze what was thawed. Marked some fish deep but was not able to move them. Might give it another try after breakfast. Mostly likely on the Barbee chain.

Posts: 477 Location: Iowa | Didn't move anything Saturday while I was out, maybe ChadG got lucky after I left though. I did manage a 42X21 last Tuesday afternoon though, at the local pond, with surface temp barely hitting 40 degrees in the late afternoon with the sun shining. Posts: 536 Location: Brainerd Area | I would like to thank all that attended the 1st annual 3 Mile Lake World Poker Tour and donateing your money to ME.. Even though to water temps were not what we wanted, the weather was not what we wanted, the fishing was not what we wanted, it still felt good to be on open water and being able to cast again. Now im back home and the water is still hard but the rest of the winter will be alot easyer to bare now that I got some of the itch out of my system. It was good to see all of you again and ill be seeing you all again in April.

Posts: 391 | Good Times, Within the first 20 minutes of being on the water the dark side of the moon showed up. Then got to see the proto type rat belly, won't ever be buying one of those. Big City Livin sure is something else!!!! Jamie good to meet you and thanks for the Chili. The lake is definitely cool, watch out in 8 years. see you guys in april. kly
