Location: Ludington, MI | I'm down to just a few Thunderbeasts and I still haven't found anything that stalls and hovers on the retrieve like the 9-inch model. I like it for working shallow sand-to-weed edge transitions.
Is there something out there that stalls and hangs well in the rubber category? |

| You take any of the Red October tubes and use the lighter jig heads system (the shallow runners) should work well, even if you fish deep, just the pain in the butt to wait for them to drop down deep. |

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota | The whale tails have a lot of hang if you use less or no weights with them. Another option I’ve done is taking a shallow rigged red October tune and glueing 2 wine corks to the wire between the hooks. I can fish that over the tops of weeds and has really good action. I add a grub tail to the back hook and run 2 hooks on the body |

| Years ago at a seminar, Gregg Thomas took a Red October tube, removed the weight and replaced with a piece of high density foam. He said he used it for hopping over weeds, rocks. He put a small weight just ahead of the lure. |

Bet you could slide those corks onto the wire before turning last loop on wire. The cork hellkats have the cork poured right in the plastic! JD |

| Corks I love it, I've thought of glueing different pieces of wood, old Rapalas that the lip was broken off ECT, corks so easy and we all have for the price of a bottle of wine. My brother and law has a whole bucket full on top of a cabinet. A little sand paper and razor blade and your good to go. |
