Are muskie open right now planning a day trip saturday march 20th? Any good tips on lures besides bucktails?

It depends on where you are at. Musky are open in the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Iowa. Not sure what Michigan's regs are for musky, and Minnesota and Wisconsin open in about 2 months I think. Spring bite should be picking up pretty good in Southern Illinois and Kentucky right about now. Northern Illinois, Indiana and Iowa are still a little cold so the fish haven't really started yet.. Ice is out though, in those 3states.
